    I use this product mainly for personal use, but also some business. I have some pretty lengthy phone conversations, and this phone has stood the test of time. I like that the batteries are rechargeable, NOT the kind that you have to replace and search for the right phone battery, etc. It holds its charge well, and takes a beating from me. I have used it outside and have gotten good reception/ sound quality with a long range. Lots of features that come in handy- silent, volume control, blocking calls, etc. I love the talking caller ID. Speaker phone- works okay, but you can attach a headset, so not a problem. I would highly recommend it especially for people like me who spend a lot of time on the phone.

                  DECT is the most interference free of the allowed telephone frequencies. Baby monitors/networks operate in the 2.4GHz range, 5.8 is a clear bandwidth but does not transmit as far as DECT, but any phone can have interference potentially.
