    I'm still looking for a really hefty mechanical pencil to replace my long-time favorite -- Sanford's PhD. This is not it -- though it's a nice product. The best feature about this pencil is the eraser -- it's a big one, and it doesn't smudge the paper. I still find the side button for advancing the lead a little awkward; the maker says this allows more efficient operation since you can "easily advance the lead without losing your grip on the pencil," but I still have to shift my grip and search for that side button. Overall it is a good tool and seems well made; it's just not as nice to look at and hold as the PhD.

    I purchased the pencil for an ALgebra. I purchased 1 and fell in love. The pencil feels like you are writing with a pen or very expensive penci. When I returned to purchase additional pencils, another shopper warned me that the mechanism that advances the lead does not last long; after limited use it no longer propels the lead down the barrel and you can no longer write with it. The mechanism on 3 of my 4 pencils no longer work.

    i'm not overly excited about the product. there are better pencils on the market e.g. the pentel click 0.5. i like the grip better, makes it easier for me to hold while writing for long periods of time.
