These pens are better to use than pencils because the letters or numbers show up better and if you need to correct or change something, you can erase what you wrote, most of the time. Every now and then, the pens will leak an oily substance that you can not erase or wipe away. Mostly, they are a delight to use. I am an avid cross word puzzle solver, so I need a lot of these pens from week to week. At first, I could not find a large supply of them, until I happened to be looking for supplies in Staples. There were several racks of Eraser Mates in three different colors!

Erasable ink is a great thing to use for certain forms, and these pens are good for that. However, the ink is just not quite "black" it's more gray, and looks more like pencil than pen when used on a form. If the color ink were just a bit darker it would be THE perfect pen!

      Tried to use this for logging orders at our lauundry and dry cleaning plants but no one liked these pens. The eraser works just fine; however, when you try to write with them, the tip seems like it simply doesn't write smoothly. I'm donating them.

            I have had erasable pens that work very well and these do not. In fact, they don't write smoothly either. They write with a spotty effect and I have to go back and write over the word to get the ink to flow.
