    My 11-year old and 8-year old had a very hard time writing with other mechanical pencils because the lead would break so often. We use the same lead in this pencil and it rarely breaks. With other pencils, between the breakage and the small lead storage capacity, it was very frustrating.

    For me, the pencil is comfortable and doesn't feel like it's about to fall apart like cheaper pencils feel. Also, I can carry it somewhere to take notes and I don't have to worry about running out of lead.

    The only thing I would change is the eraser. It is high quality and erases well, but it rolls back down into the cartridge as you erase. To raise and lower the eraser, you twist it. When you erase, it twists.

    I am shocked at how many people like this pencil. I bought a pack because I thought they would be great for taking exams...I was totally wrong. Sure, the eraser lasts forever, but only because it wont stay up long enough to erase ANYTHING. There is no way that I can use these on exams and the company did not even answer my complaint about them.

          This is a great pencil. It is comfortable to hold and the eraser lasts a long time because it is so long. The only drawback is that after a year or so, the plastic that the pencil is made of gets brittle and parts start to break. But it is inexpensive so it is easy to replace.
