I wanted a pen that was
-easy to use
- distinctive enough so that people knew it was mine when I invariably leave it on someone else's desk,
-and cheap enough so I can give them to people who need them and not be afraid to lose one.

This pen fits all that criteria and actually performs better than the more expensive models. It writes on most surfaces and unlike many gel pens will actually dry on those surfaces (smearing is a problem where I work). Buy a box and leave it on your desk.

            If you like ballpoint, this is the one to get. It's a really nice pen without breaking the bank. I buy them by the box, because everyone else keeps borrowing them. They used to have purple too, which was a nice dark color, but now staples doesn't carry it by the box
