It's compact, fits anywhere between uses, and very easy to use. Worked right out of the box with a battery and hasn't failed me since. Turns itself off in case you forget--which I always do. A perfect solution for the home business that sends small packages and wants to print their own postage instead of standing in line. This scale paid for itself with retail Delivery Confirmation charges we no longer had to pay--in less than one month. It does have a rather small weighing platform, so you can't get anything too wide on it. You won't be able to read the weight. I find myself folding large envelopes or sitting package envelopes up on their ends to be sure nothing is touching what it shouldn't. It won't go over five pounds; but if you almost never have a package that heavy, then it's an excellent solution. The price was right[...] The value blew other companies and sellers right off the chart.

when precision is essential as in determining the weight of small animals, this scale should be used as a scanning tool, because with small animals, .25 OF A GRAM MATTERS AND CAN MEAN CORRECT OR INCORRECT TREATMENT.
