As a kid, I spent my allowance on pens and records. Whenever I see a stationary store in my travels around the USA and the world, I discover almost every new pen created and purchase it to evaluate it for future use. I buy bargain and finely crafted pens. I search everywhere to find pens that get discontinued and will buy in bulk if I love the way it writes. I've been a champion of Pentel products since their first forays decades ago and the EnerGels remain in my all time Top 3 everyday pens. This new series with its multiple vibrant colors surpasses the metallic barrels for comfort and variety. Can't wait till you can buy each color in boxlot quantities. The orange & pink are the brightest on the market and the purple & turquoise are the richest looking of all competitors.

I run a valet parking service. I have my valet runners use an unusual color ink so customers cannot say we marked up their vehicle to get a free interior cleaning. These pens are great, easy to use and serve their purpose when writing up the tickets for the customer. HOWEVER! They explode and leak constantly. These pens have cost me hundreds of dollars in dry cleaning bills and new uniforms for my staff. I will NEVER buy Pentel pens ever again.

        I love the Pentlel brand Energel pens and thought I would try these "new" ones. I love them. They write as nicely as the more expensive ones and feel great when I use them. I would recommend them to others. I am somewhat of a pen guru and am very particular to which pens I buy and how smoothly they write on paper and how fast drying or no smearing they are. These fit the bill all the way around.

          I am really a pen fanatic and was looking for something to write very smoothly. I usually use ball point pens because they do not smear but these pens are really excellent. The colors are great for editing. And just over all very good pens.
