One of my hobbies is collecting pens... So trust me, when I say, that this one is a keeper! THE COLOR: this black, is a 'true black', not one of those in between/kinda black-ish, it's really pretty. THE PEN CASE: very lightweight!!! Which, we all know, is very important: 1, You can write for hours and your hand won't feel like you put them thru some weight lifting exercise, and 2, even thou it doesn't have a comfort grip, it's sits very good in my hand, and does't hurt after even long period of jotting stuff down ( unfortunately I have an unusually strong grip when writing, so most pens leave indentations, sometimes even callouses on my finger.).BOTTOM LINE: I now have about a dozen of this Pilot pen in different colors, and I don't use any other pen anymore, period! And everyone, who borrows them from me, and up either keeping it ( watch out: they are highly desirable!), or ask where they can buy them... My husband made a couple 'disappear', and so did my best friend...

I like the concept of using recycled plastic. In all fairness, I've only tried the first pen in the pack of three. The package was a good value, but the first pen doesn't write as smoothly as I'd like - however, I found that the Pentel EnterGel refills fit perfectly and it's got a cool design and you can see how much ink you have left.

I am a foodserver and have to buy my own pens. I spend a little more on this pen because it has recycled content and works beautifully. I love this pen!

recyclable cartridges = next step.
when ink done, cartridge's plastic tube and metal tip should be separable and both recyclable.
