I prefer "fine" ink instead of medium. Medium looks too heavy and even feels heavy to me when I am writing. I'm a nurse and document all day long. This ink is my favorite. I buy retractable pens (easy touch by pilot) that are only available in medium ink, and discard their ink and use these replacements. My only complaint is that often these refills are not available.

I am a courier for a health care system which has many many locations and a good pen is a definite must...this is not, i tried it on my first few stops and gave up. just feels like it doesn't want to give up the ink, went back to my tried and true papermate profile (my customers love the profile too)

      I have three of these Dr. Grip pens and use them almost exclusively for checkwriting, making lists, filling out forms by hand. My one "con" is that sometimes the pen is difficult to open when needing to insert a new refill. Sometimes it opens at the middle, sometimes at the silver tip.Not sure why it is not consistent. Maybe it's just me.

            we do not carry refills in black fine for this item because we carry mostly medium point pens. we do have a fine point refill in black that will work with this pen but you must but the refill to the size of the pen. SKu is 650481. thanks
