I prefer writing with pencil and this one is smooth. The lead seems to be well protected as I don't have to waste a lot of time and lead trying to clear broken pieces out of the pencil. My staff knows not to take this pencil off my desk!

I found these by mistake.... and I've now bought several boxes. This pencil is simply perfect. The eraser has a clear plastic cap - which I usually take off and lose soon after I first use it. It erases cleanly and lasts a long time. The thin lead is strong and I rarely have problems with it breaking while I'm taking notes in my three hour long class. The pencil makes a fine line and it is perfect for engineering drawings and clear/clean plots for class.
One pencil out of 48 so far has come with broken/multiple smaller pieces of lead inside... don't know if that pencil was missed in the QA process or what - but it is clearly a fluke.
The pencils are refillable (both lead and erasers) so they'll last as long as you want them to.
Great bargain and good quality. The grip is quite comfortable and the turquoise color makes it easy for me to keep track of my pencil when others are using the same work area. (I think they are very pretty mechanical pencils)
