These are the most wonderful pens around. I am a college student, so I know how important a good pen for a good price can be. I was recently talking with a classmate, and we both agreed that the G-2 is THE BEST. We will not use any other gel pen or pen in general. I love all four point sizes that Pilot has to offer because they all serve a purpose in my writing life. They are great, and a great price.

I love these pens. I have tried a few others and never found one that flows as smoothly while resisting smear and skips. Nice to hold in your hand. Just buy this pen and be done with it. If it had a nice metal barrel I would easily pay [$] for this pen. It gives me fountain pen quality writing with a nice comfortable grip and when I need a pen I go looking for this brand even if I have another pen on my desk.

I'd been using the PENTEL Rolling Writers for years as my go-to writing instrument of choice. Some time back it seemed that the nylon tip of the PENTEL was no longer dependable at holding the "ball" of the ballpoint in place. On more than a few occasions I'd pull a fresh PENTEL out of a box of a dozen and -POP- the ball would be across the table upon its first contact with the paper. Coupling this with what seemed like a noticeably diminished ink reservoir I had reason to audition replacements -and I tried plenty. FINALLY! I purchased a couple of PILOT G2 BOLD pens and did comparisons. The PILOT was the clear winner! As a compulsive writer I buy 'em by the box! A nice plus is the fact that the PILOT is a retractable pen! No cap for me to lose!

I was looking for a pen that has juicy ink and glides well. This is it! Very satisfied. The ink does smear easily for a second or two after writing, so I have to be aware of that.

Don't buy this pen if you are left handed - the ink does smear on some papers. I use Xerox paper to do my printing and it doesn't distribute a continuous flow of ink - sometimes there is thicker parts in the ink flow - which makes the ink dry slower... and when I mean slower - its minutues (as in using the pen - and me writing this review and editing it and its still not dry!)

Do NOT use this pen on glossy paper! You will be sorry!!!

I'm going to return my box. I bought this based on the reviews and most people liked this pen - but I'm shaking my head wondering why! I prefer the Uni-ball vision pens.
