I like the feel of these pencils, first of all. The rubber grip flares out just below my finger so it doesn't slip.

These are significantly shorter than standard pencils while taking the same leads. Which leads me to ask: Why are the others longer? I don't see what the extra length buys you. Why aren't they all like this?

The other really cool thing, which I wasn't expecting, is that the point retracts into the housing if you push on it while you are pushing the eraser. What a great idea!

I leave one of these with a small pad in my vest pocket, unnoticeable. The point on a standard pencils was eating a hole in my backpack as it flexed; no problem with this little guy -- the point is retracted. I can even stick one in the pocket of my shorts because of the small size and retracted point. They'd be great in a small purse, a passport holder, etc.

They are all plastic, but so far they have worked without a hitch.

I carry it with me everywhere because it's small.
It's design does not make you feel like you are writing with a reduced size instrument.

I have also purchased the colored pens in the same size and love them too.
