This pen is beautiful, the design is nice and neat and exceeds the worth of the price. I personally like fine point pens and this one is a medium point which takes a little more getting used to but it doesn't take long to adjust your handwriting and control of the pen. The ink flows out freely and does not smear but results in the ink reservoir to deplete quickly so I wouldn't use it for an extended period of time and I don't know what the refill situation is. It would be nice in a variety of inks to write with like purples, reds, blues etc. But I would definitely recommend this pen.

I purchased this pen to replace an entry-level Waterman fountain pen for daily use. I am a teacher and appreciate the small luxury of a fine writing instrument. The pen weight is a little light, but not so light it feels cheap. The nib is steel, lightly filigreed and deflects slightly under pressure. The ink flow is consistent and almost immediate. It writes very well on most paper surfaces and doesn't bleed heavily on low quality paper. The only quibble I have with it is the significant difference in diameter from barrel to grip, but it is not uncomfortable.
This is an excellent pen if you want a classy, smooth writing "daily driver". Exceptional value, excellent quality.

This pen is a fantastic bargain, writing as well as pens costing 10 times as much. The fit and finish are excellent, as would be expected for a pen made by Pilot. Why write with a crummy ballpoint, when you can experience the pleasures of a quality fountain pen? Refilling the pen with bottled ink also brings the cost far below buying ballpoint or [worse] rollerball refills, and also lets you use a much wider selection of colors.
