This pan is very amazing, it holds water and dogs can drink from it! I added a float and a valve and now it fills itself.

I purchased this pan to paint and then set on a dolly, under a large (14" dia.) container with my Macho fern in it. It will protect my carpet from getting wet. I used an unpainted one, years ago, when I overwintered my Brugmansia indoors. This one will be in the living room and I wanted to blend the pan and the dolly, between the glazed pot and the carpet. I chose a 'perfect' speckled paint and then called the paint co. to see if I should paint the inside (sometimes standing water in there) and they explained a lot!I found out from [@]. that I have to clean it with mineral spirits or vinegar, then use a brush on paint — not a spray — because sprays have an additive that will prevent it from sticking to galvanized metal. I hope this helps someone else. I'd send a photo, but I haven't gotten the new paint yet....
