Smears ink on initial use

I use this printer 3-4 days a week to print checks. The ink smears on initial use but if you are printing 6 or more checks at a time, the smearing goes away....Read complete review

I use this printer 3-4 days a week to print checks. The ink smears on initial use but if you are printing 6 or more checks at a time, the smearing goes away. I would recommend using Staples #508878 which is Okidata brand ribbon for the 490 microline printer. I am sending the extra ribbons I ordered back, and replacing them with the Okidata brand ribbon.

                please inform the product manufacturer that ribbon is very very poor. I spent [$] for ribbon that does not work. sometimes i want to return it to staples but is so hassle. I wish I can use different type of ribbon but my printer is attach to my program computer for the business. Little frustrated

                    The ones that I received are "Porelon" brand and only lasted a third of what an Oki brand ribbon should last. I'm extremely disappointed. These should be marketed as Porelon and not as Okidata.
