      I am a writer and editor who does first editing passes on hard copy. These are great for reminding me what I quibbled with and how I want to notify an author before I plunge into electronic changes. And, in home use, they're wonderful for marking literary passages or important parts of research books. Wish I'd had them when I was a university instructor!

      The only drawback is that the rest of the family, mostly students, want to steal them all the time. That is a compliment, I think!
