Whether you're teaching a class, leading a seminar, or giving a large presentation you want to make a strong impact. Projectors provide the best solution for collaborating, reviewing and sharing information together with groups large and small. Here are some helpful tips on finding the best projector to meet your needs.
Image quality is a combination of Brightness and Resolution.
Brightness: For bright colorful images, you need both high color brightness (color light output) and high white brightness (white light output). Color brightness is the number of lumens displayed when projecting color. Traditional lumens specifications only measure white brightness, so look for two separate brightness measurements. This is critically important as most projectors are used for color content and color is a critical component of picture quality. If color brightness is lower than white brightness, images may be dark or dull, and details and skin tones poor. A projector with higher color lumens and higher white lumens also provides additional light output to ensure your content is highly visible in bright or lighted rooms so you can keep the lights on during your presentation.
Resolution: Resolution is increasingly important to keep pace with high definition displays, televisions and multimedia. There are 3 resolutions to know: SVGA, XGA and WXGA. Think of them as good, better and best, respectively. The higher the resolution, the better the image quality. This means your audience sees more detail and sharp, crisp images.
? WXGA (1280 x 800) or higher is the most popular display resolution today to support widescreen high definition presentations and videos.
? SVGA (800 x 600) – is a basic entry level solution perfect for basic presentations.
? XGA (1024 x 768) - is suitable for advanced presentations and text-heavy charts.
Ease of Use Features: There are many features that make a projector easier to use—which can save you time so you can focus on your presentation and get up and running as quickly as possible.
