    Only had the 4000 1 year and about a month ago the machine stopped printing very well. I replaced the ink ribbon and it still prints very poorly. The dots are unevenly dispersed, can't read the time cards too well. I am sending the machine back to Pyramid Technologies for a replacement as requested by them. Still under the warrantee. Update to follow upon replacement.

    This time recorder has very nice features and is easy to set up. We use this because of the large space on the time cards to account for many entries. Problem is that the print head has a very short life, the letters and numbers begin to print poorly-images drop out over time. The first unit we had lasted just over a year and the second 1 year 9 mos.

      Pyramid Technologies was very good to work with. I sent back my time card machine for a replacement as it was still under warrantee. They were very prompt in replacing my defective unit. The replacement is operational and working as expected.

        We own a restaurant, have about 60 employees,its been used hard for 6 years, the machine has worked well. Going to replace it with the 4000HD because it is starting to get hard to read the cards. Hopefully will get as many years out of this Heavy duty one or more. No complaints at all with this machine.

        We had the older version, it had a direct connect for a bell. This new one we would have to buy another component thats about $130.00+ more to get the bell to work. Thats a rip off, This was already expensive and then they are trying to get more money out of you. We sent back and got another brand.
