Good solid addition to any small office.

Small business with 58 employees doesn't seem so small on payroll day but with this machine it is much easier. We used to use a date/time stamp clock and I had to calculate everything by hand. When I come in to do payroll I download the punches and print the reports and am ready to go. I started small at first with just my office staff but will soon add all the drivers and warehouse help as well.

I bought this product when I was under 25 employees. I am now at 30. It says that it is upgradeable to 100 employees. For every additional 25 employees you have to buy the time cards. That is fine but you also have to upgrade the software. You have to call up Time Trax wait on hold for at least half an hour and pay an extra $50.00 for every 25 employees. There is no reason for this. Time Trax is just trying to get that extra money out of you. You are already paying for the equipment, software and time cards. Then they want you to pay extra for the software to allow you to use the new time cards you already paid extra for.

I read the previous review and was hesitant to purchase this time clock for our business....BUT the price was right, so I decided to give it a try. Yes..it did take a little bit of time to set up, but I thought it was pretty easy ---- just follow the booklet directions!!!
I am SOOOO happy with this product! I was doing payroll by hand & this saves me so much time! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a time clock solution

PS. Not really sure about the other reviews comment about the adaptor --- it has everything I needed & was easy to set-up

Serves its function. Easy to set up. User friendly. However, when you export a payroll report to Excel, there are some minor errors. Some line item do not align correctly. I do like the way it works and does save me time.

Came with an adaptor from intranet port to female DB9 adapter, but if you want to use USB you have to buy some strange adaptor. Overall the connectivity is behind the times and inconvenient.

I found this quite easy to set up. I connected to my computer with USB-an adapter was included for this. Also included was a very long cable, so I was able to put the machine where I wanted it, not right by my computer. The one thing that surprised me-you can't automatically upload/download to all versions of Quickbooks (Quickbooks Basic doesn't cut it). However, I can still use the system just fine. All in all, this system is much easier (and less time consuming) than my old time card punch system.

We are a service oriented business with 16 hourly employees and pay every 2 weeks. Before this device was installed it took up to 1.5 hours to process employees timecards. Now, it is accomplished in less than 15 minutes and the employees love it!

I was a little surprised when I needed to find the Data file (I set it up on my laptop, then transfered it to the office computer). The data was not in the same folder as the installed software. Once I found it's location, installing on the office computer was a breeze.

Since this is my husband's business and I do not actually work in the office, he is able to make a backup of the data and bring it to me for processing - I can export a spreadsheet to use for importing into our payroll software (we do not use QuickBooks)!
