Does this item come completely assembled or is assembly required? Trying to insert a inflexible presentation board into this display board for mounting and need to know if we would be able to get it into this item.

Q:
I know this is the fear of most manufacturers, but might this be mounted contrary to instructions? I would a product exactly like this but need to have it hang vertically. Do you think the lock would keep the glass in place if we mounted it in that manner? We would rarely change the display, and if we did we would take it down to open and arrange, lock it, and then re-hang it. The dimensions of this are perfect for us - - IF we hang it more like a full length mirror than a wall mirror.
