This is precisely what I was looking for.

I am a mathematics student, and I like to use chalkboards to work on problems and doodle. My roommates chipped in, and we hanged it near the kitchen/dining area, where the coffee and tea are not far.

A few weeks have passed, and couldn't be happier with the purchase. I can now invite friends a talk about cool math stuff over a cup of tea, we all draw with chalk whenever we feel like it, and I only wonder why I didn't buy a chalkboard before.

Installation was super easy, as it can sustain itself on two anchors in drywall (you need to get a drill somewhere for a minute), and also comes with mounting brackets for uneven surfaces. It is
quite light.

The metallic frame looks great, the edge to hold chalk an erasers is uber-useful. Color and white chalk work well on the surface and erase easily (we treated it according to the instructions; the whole process took 5 to 10 minutes). We use it every day, and after several weeks of usage we haven't noticed any problems.

It will probably not work for a classroom setting (especially if you plan to mount it on two anchors, as kids will try to sit/lean on the edge with the chalk: I know I do). The construction is not bulletproof; essentially, it's a piece of thin particle board (4mm-ish) painted with blackboard paint (the board is similar to what they use for the bottom part of drawers). You can easily break it when it is not mounted if you try.

It is great for use by adults or people who won't lean on the edge.

Used for school room.. not as sturdy as I would expect for the cost.
