        I bought a new MAC and wanted to put Quicken on the computer. Don't bother buying this if you have ever used Quicken for a PC. In comparison the Quicken Esentials for MAC is cumberson to use, reports are useless & limited, don't like how checks are written or list in the register, can't figure out how to set up the register to my liking, ease of use is nothing like Quicken, printing checks is not the same. My outdated Quicken was a 2006, just bought the 2012 Quicken and will delete the Quicken Essentials from my MAC. I should have believed the nay-sayers! I also use Quickbooks for my business so I am proficient with Quicken and Quickbooks. I've used Intuit products for over 20 years but won't use this one!

          Doesn't have certain capabilities that the program for PC has. Also, does not have some of the basic things QuickBooks has that you would think this would have. This program does the main purpose it is made for but is not easy to operate. For every transaction you have to create new. Instead of with the other Quicken programs there is a new slot ready and you just type in your information. Also, the accounts are not easy to create and group/organize. Other than that, the program is great. Those were my only cons.

          I like the product because it allows me to organize the information I need for my checking, credit card, etc. I miss the features I had in the Windows Deluxe version. I had more options within accounts, such as check numbers, downloading information for all accounts at one time versus individually, etc.
