I own an automotive retail store and have to rely on the phone most all the time. I need one that can record while I am not there in the office and one that I can hear really well with also, and do 3 way calls with. This phone seems to do it all, I am very happy with it so far.

Since this is my second RCA phone in less than a year I can only give 3 stars/average rating. Only had this new model since 5-29-10 is reason for the "So far so good..." review headline. My original RCA purchase started having problems less than 8 months after purchase so I took advantage of Staples in-store replacement warranty program. Don't leave the store without purchasing this protection - well worth the very small $$ investment (Five ***** Stars).

          Initially, seemed like a good phone. Sound quality on receiving end was fine, but I was told that people on the delivery end had a hard time hearing when on speakerphone mode. Number buttons were not easy to push rapidly and on got stuck repeatedly. Had it for 10 days then returned. Got a simple AT&T 993 phone. Much more functional and better sound quality.

            This is a good phone for a home office setup. The speakerphone is nice and loud. The mute button is readily accessible so you can mute it when you are just listening during conference calls. Screen brightness is a bit dim but it's still readable. Also the cord between the handset and base could have been a little longer, but it's not bad.
