I own an automotive retail store and have to rely on the phone most all the time. I need one that can record while I am not there in the office and one that I can hear really well with also, and do 3 way calls with. This phone seems to do it all, I am very happy with it so far.

Answering system is very inconvenient

A decent 2-line phone with built-in answering machine. But the phone's display is oriented more toward caller id than to messages.

When I return to the office, I see a blinking light, meaning that there are message(s). So far, so good. I press the button to play messages, and it wants to know which line. Well, okay, I press line 1, and it plays the messages. But is that it? Who knows. I have to press Play again and select line 2. There may or not be messages on line 2, but I can't know without trying it.

So the design problems are (a) it thinks of the two phone lines as each having their own voicemail box, and (b) there is no indication on the LCD display of how many messages there are.

    The RCA phone is exactly what I needed for our small office, and the savings was unbelievable. Especially the rewards of returning your old phone and getting $10.00 refund. The phone is sleek and modern and comes with an answering machine for both lines. No missed call ever. The instructions were very easy to understand and setup took 5 minutes.
