This phone and company is cheap. You pay $30 more for caller ID, what is this 1990?
When you add an expandable headset and use it, the base is not functional. So you can't use both, even though you have a 4 line phone!!!! RCA needs to get a clue for business needs. I am considering returning this, but we went ahead and got the panasonic 4 line base and expandable handsets (1000x better)

We are a small office and didn't want to have to spend the large amount of money for a phone "system", these had all the features we need, intercom, tranfer, and conference calling. Good buy.

It is nearly impossible to find a value priced phone that can handle more than 2 lines. This is because most phone systems require an expensive central unit. This unit allows you to plug up to 4 lines directly into the base.

You can access all 4 lines from the base or from an optional DECT 6.0 wireless extension... which is very rare.
