I would not recommend this phone and router to anyone. I ended up returning it to RCA for a refund after weeks on the phone with their technical support people. They never could get the stutter tone on my voicemail to work and I don't have time to check 5 voicemails throughout the day. I am now using a 4-line phone and a single line phone (both AT&T purchased at Staples.)

First and foremost, thank you Staples for YOUR good customer service. HOWEVER, in regard to these RCA phones, BUYER BEWARE! They sound like they're going to be great, but this is the most disappointing product I have EVER seen, and RCA's customer (ahem) service and technical (cough, cough) support had such a cavalier "whatever" attitude that I'm amazed the company is in business. The phones were easy to install; they were easy to program. Trouble is, they don't retain their programming; the buttons stick; the call quality is sketchy; the auto attendant is auto possessed (sometimes it's "her," sometimes it's our recorded message); phones lose their programming for no apparent reason; if person in office is retrieving a voice message, and a call comes in, it disconnects the person listening to voice mail; impossible to get calls off hold; transferring calls works sometimes; the phones slowed down our computers, so we installed separate network switches (which fixed that right away); if you call somebody with a press "1" etc., menu, the numbers on these RCA phones may NOT be recognized; can't really access voice mail from outside the office; horrible, AWFUL, HORRENDOUS, EVIL, WORST EVER imaginable experience. I don't know how any company, in good conscience, could sell these things to unsuspecting customers. I wouldn't recommend these things to my worst enemy, let alone to a friend or anybody else I might have to see face-to-face again. There are not enough words in the English language strong enough to describe what a negative experience these things are -- or the detrimental effect they have had on our ability to conduct business. Run, run, run! These phones belong with the people under the stairs. Hide, hide, hide! Don't buy them! Do NOT buy them! Seriously, do NOT buy them. (That one star was put in because I HAD to click one, not because this sytem deserves one star.)

I upgraded from a 90s era proprietary phone system to what I thought would be a modern day user friendly, and intuitive phone system.

This system may look fancy, but acts like a dinosaur. Transferring calls is impossible if more than one person calls at the same time. When the phone does transfer, it automatically sends to speaker phone for both the transferring phone and receiving phone - even if you are holding handset. It then becomes impossible to get off both handset/speaker without hanging up on someone.

I called customer support and they were absolutely worthless. Basically were unfamiliar with how their phone works and could not understand the problems. Their response always kept coming back to that is way the phone was designed.

I find it hard to believe that a phone was designed to always send someone to speaker and then hang up on incoming clients.

Bottom line, I have lost clients and money with this system. I would definitely look elsewhere.
