he is dyslexic and has trouble reading and certainly can't figure out how to use if the words aren't there

It works fine, as expected. I bought it because I was trying to take notes at a meeting and the original tape recorder was broken. The problem was when I went to use it to record some meeting minutes, when it reached the end of the tape there was no signal. I hope I did not miss any minutes. Works well for playback.

              The recorder was used for a meeting, I ran out quickly to get a good recorder but I was not aware that this one would not be able to transfer my recordings to my PC. it would have been nice if i could just insert a disc from the recorder into my computer and copy what was recorded, then I could make copies instantly. Using a cassette is outdated.

                  This recorder does not notify you with the battery level. There are 60 minutes on a microcassette and it will click when your tape has finished. You may be interested in a digital recorder, most of them do show you the battery life, without the cost of the cassettes.
