Wow. Where should a gal start? I don't do reviews typically, but when I got the email entitled "rate your 7 gallon recycling container, " I don't know, something just snapped and I felt compelled to convey my most sincere feelings towards this product. And hopefully this will help a prospective purchaser, so they can make an informed decision. I guess I'll just start at the beginning. It was a bright sunny Monday afternoon in Los Angeles. I'd been going over my recycling needs over and over again, trying to arrive at what would be my ideal container. I had so much paper to recycle in my little home office and time was running out. Tuesday was approaching, and along with the arrival of that day, the arrival of the recycling truck. Paralyzed, thoughts raced through my head ... A bucket? A bin? A box? A Hello Kitty hamper? A Christmas tree sack? It was just too much to bare. But then, when all hope was slowly retreating into the sunset, I made the best decision I could possibly make in 36 seconds on the Staples website by ordering this little dickens. First of all, what can I say? It's BLUE. But it doesn't stop there. Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, ok, here goes ... it's plastic-y rubber. You could probably even recycle it if you don't need it anymore. AND it has a recycling stamp on the side, making it virtually impossible to confuse it with, I don't know, say, your dirty laundry. Most people have more than 7 gallons worth of dirty laundry at one time before they do the wash, so that might be a help as well. It says in the description that it's puncture and crack resistant. As I have not had a chance to stab it with a pair of scissors or smoke crack with it, I can't speak to that, so I apologize that I can't help in that regard. Other than that ... phenomenal. Anyway, I truly hope this helps illustrate the greatness of this container. I cannot recommend it enough and wish you godspeed in blessing your office with its presence.

The whole reason for the purchase is to have our employees not throw their water bottles, etc. in the trash can and get it in recycle. Thank goodness this trash can is blue for recycle because the recycle symbol on the side of the can to identify the usage is just a sticker. One time being washed or getting wet from being in the elements this sticker will come off. Not pleased at all about that. Especially since I paid for the can and didn't get it free from recycle.
Comments about Staples Recycling Container, 7 Gallon:
Perfect size can for our classrooms. However, would rather have recycling logo imprinted on the can instead of in a sticker. Some of the stickers aren't adhered well.

Looking for a simple recycle bin for the office. This works well. It's the same size as our regular trashcans, but the blue color makes it easy for people to get things into the right bins.
