    This item has changed from the original purchased a couple years ago. There are less pockets for important documents and one large pocket replaced individual places for pens, etc.

                  In addition to my laptop, I also carry a projector and assorted cables and a powerstrip. Does this case have a large pocket that can accomodate bulky items, or is it made up of small divided pockets?

                    This case is mostly made up of smaller pockets, but it does have one big one in the back. I am not sure what the dimensions are on your projector or if it would fit. The cables and powerstrip should, though!

                  You say that this carrying case will fit a 15.4" laptop. I am assuming that this measurement is the width of the laptop and not the display size that people talk about when describing their laptops. For example, my computer is a 15.6" display, but the actual width of the computer is 15" exactly. So I am assuming that it would fit in this case?

                    The dimensions on this product are (W)17" x (H)13.5" x (D)8"
                    so it will depend on the type of plane you are traveling on. The smaller planes more than likely you will need to store about. The handle retracts so for larger air crafts you could possibly store it under the seat. Thanks
