Intermittant Problems with Print Quality

I have been using these cartridges for at least 2 years and have run into a very annoying problem with the 3eBK cartridge that has occured 3x in the last year. Apparently the fill plug does not always allow for adequate venting of the cartridge. The print job will start fine and within 10-15 seconds, the black coverage starts to skip and becomes progessively worse over the next 60 seconds until it is barely printing black at all. I tried EVERYTHING trying to figure out this problem. Using the printer cleaning utilities, manually cleaning the printhead etc...Hours of frustration!! The solution, take a push pin and poke it down through the edge of the fill plug. The problem is instantly corrected and the cartridge prints perfectly for the rest of it's service life. The other staples cartridges for this printer do not seem to suffer the same problem. This problem has occured about every 5 cartriges in the past 12 months.
