Great ink -- deceptive size

I have bought Staples brand ink several times for my Canon printer, and have found no noticeable quality difference compared to the Canon brand. I did notice on my recent purchase--because I was looking--that the Staples brand held 12ml vs. the 13ml in the Canon cartridges. That 8% difference is about equal to the 8-10% price difference, meaning the Staples brand was no better value (or worse). The fifth cartridge--a larger one--held the same amount as the Canon one, so it was an obviously better value.

Terrible - ink smears in printer, esp. when printing 2-sided, takes too long to dry. Ink has strong odor that Canon brand doesn't have. After using two cartridges of each color, print nozzles became clogged & it took half a dozen cleanings to unclog. I've used dozens of Canon cartridges before needing to unclog print nozzles. Printer doesn't always seem to be able to tell when cartridge is empty. Cartridges don't seem to print as many pages as Canon brand. This is one time where the name brand is indeed better than generic.

Your store brand is not comparable to the Cannon Brand as it is less ink so is not a better buy and cannot get as much use out of it.

I have now tried these cartridges twice. Both times I have had difficulties! My printer does not recognize the staples cartridges and I get an error message every time I print. I have to open my printer, pop out the cartridge, put it back in again and hope/cross fingers it actually prints. Not only are they annoying, but the ink stinks. I have never had a printer with ink that actually smells until I tried theses cartridges. There is nothing worse than typing up a report or something for a lesson at school, and have people wondering why their papers/documents smell! I will never pay that much money again for a refilled cartridge. They're not worth the hassle. Don't waste your money or time, buy the originals from Cannon.

I print many color photos/documents and when I change from the OEM cartridges to the staples brand, the reds and yellows are way too bright. It takes quite a bit of manipulation to correct the colors.

I only buy it if the Canon ink is out of stock. For the $2.00 difference, the Canon ink lasts longer and looks better. You are close but you have more work to do to match the Canon ink.
