      A floppy disk reader should read all the old disks that I have. It did not do that. Instead it just told me to format my disks so that they could be used! That is hardly helpful. I had formatted them already years ago, or they would not have worked at that time. I wanted to hunt down information and images that I had saved on floppy 3 1/2 inch diskes in the 1990's. I have had to resort to using a 20 year old computer that I had saved for some reason or other. I have to use a finger nail file to pry the disks out of the drive once I have read them, but least I can check them out, even though it is time consuming.

                I needed to get some needed information for a customer off of an old floppy disk; however I did not have a computer to do the job. I went to my favorite office supply store to get what I needed in a hurry. Staples had it and saved the day and saved my word to the customer. I was able to retrieve the information quickly and get it to the customer the same day. The driver loaded quickly. This is something that I will not need day-to-day, but I will have it for the future because I know there are others out there with information stored on various floppies.

                  I have tried this out already and my infformation I have stored on floyys came right up on the screen without any problems at all. And I am so glad that it was just that easy, instead of fighting yet another program for this old brain to figure out.
