A bit of a proviso on my "easy to use" pro item above - it is only easy to use after you first get it put together. After that, it's cake.

I waited out the long backorder on these until my local store had a couple in stock.

The unit doubles as a cover for the tablet. The key touch is reasonable, if not good. The touch pad is adequate. There are no visible buttons associated with the touch pad, but the very bottom of it does respond to clicks as you would expect.

The overall construction provides little confidence in how the unit will stand up over time. This is somewhat surprising since it does add more weight to the overall unit than you might expect.

Two notable flaws:
1) Directions. There are two small covers over the points where the unit clips to the tablet. The directions did not address which caps needed to be removed or how to do so without damaging the table.
2) Not a huge deal, but you can not seamlessly detach the keyboard while the power is on and still keep power to the tablet. The dock has its own power port, which is the only one accessible while the tablet is docked (the keyboard blocks the one on the dock).

Overall, I'd buy it again, but I had expected a bit more from it.

this is the best typing experience I got from all keyboards I have used in my life, better than the regular desktop keyboard. all the keys are layout in perfect place. even though it is not as thin as the surface cover, it is still make it a thin ultrabook and fit perfectly into the 11 inch tablet carry sleeve. I am using it for win 8 touch app development now, combined with the full function feature of the tablet, this gives me the same productivity as my 17 inch laptop. this really makes all other os platform tablets stay toy for ever

i am using it for win 8 touch app development now, and it can perfectly serve the production purpose. i never had connection issue, make sure the tablet snap in fully. it instantly changed the tablet to an easier to use than desktop device. with the win8 tablet it instantly become a full functional computer. i can access network printer, access network drive, commit file through version control, this makes all ipad, droid tablet look like just a kids playing toy without any production function

I got this tablet thinking that I would use it a lot, especially for my profession (teaching). I haven't really used it much because of the time it takes to figure it out! I wish I had gotten an iPad but it's too late now. I'm going to take advantage of Staple's FREE offer for a 30 minute crash course for this tablet.

It was a great and useful replacement for my new laptop the only problem I had was setting it up took awhile and transferring my data from old laptop to new was time consuming only because the laptop kept going to sleep.
