hated the small screen. Now having this model it feels like i'm
holding a 72" screen in my hand haha. The app are awesome an the
download speed is wicked fast. I use it a lot for work an games.
Havn't got in to movies an shows yet but I know it's going to be
great. I hated being retricted to 8,16,32 an 64 gb system like
apple has. Then if you want more space you have to get a apple
computer that's bogus right there! I love how you can get a 32
gb sim card an fill it up an then get another. That's the
definition of endless fun an entertainment. It's at a great price
to you can't beat it :). This is a great product two thumbs way up!
Thanks so much an hope you guys like my input.

I would like to see a better instructions how to use this tablet. The manual that is online need more pictures with explanations. I think it is good for advanced users but not for people like me. I wish to have more simple instructions. For example, the time shows 6 hrs later then the real time, and I couldn't figure out how to fix it. I do not know which apps are free. They prompt you to sign up almost for everything. I do not know should I get internet security program, can I use it for Microsoft programs. Is there a free tech support, so I can call and ask questions, and for how long? I think this tablet is good especially for travel, but you have to know how to use it.

Comments about Samsung Galaxy II 7" 8GB, WiFi:

I bought my Galaxy Tab 2 7" as a compromise: my BlackBerry Torch screen is too small for reading high volume email; meanwhile, carrying & booting my Toshiba Satellite notebook is often a hassle. After about 2 weeks, the Tab 2 has mostly been what I expected, with a few nice surprises and a some modest gripes.

I'm new to Android, & while I enjoy the wide variety of apps that are available, there are some glaring gaps (Gradebook Pro, for example) compared with other platforms like Apple. But that's an Android issue, not Samsung. Just be sure to check out the differences before taking the leap if you are not already an Android user.

The Home/Widgets/Apps structure of icons on the various screens was VERY confusing at first. But after reading the user guide and playing around a bit, I now have things sorted in a way that is actually very useful, although I still get turned around sometimes. I believe this is Samsung's layout, rather than Android's, but am too inexperienced with Android to say for sure.

One big disappointment was the lack of support for using the digital copies of movies I've already purchased. Those combined Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital Copy combos work only with Apple & Windows, not Android. I had planned to be able to use the Tab 2 for watching movies during flights, etc. No dice, though I can always purchase new digital copies through one of the Android based services.

The included Polaris app for working with MS Office files is a dud. I plan to download the Office to Go app, as I have used it successfully on my BB Torch.

Also confusing is the duplication of some preloaded apps, for example, Music Hub (Samsung's app for downloading, etc.) vs. Play Music (Google) vs. Music Player (not sure whether it is Samsung or someone else, but it seems to be the simplest way to use my digital music).

In general, though, the Tab 2 is great as a compromise between my cell phone & laptop. In other words, pretty much exactly what I needed.

Comments about Samsung Galaxy II 7" 8GB, WiFi:

My husband and I have the Motorola Xoom and love it. We were shopping for a tablet for our kids, age 9 & 11, and wanted many of the same features that we had on the Xoom. We were looking at the Kindle Fire, but didn't want to be confined by only Amazon Apps. There is so many more available on the Google Play Store. We heard about the new Nexus 7 and were thrilled but were a bit disappointed that it only had one camera facing you. When searching for one "in stock", we came across the suggestion of the Galaxy Tab 2. Loved that it had 2 cameras, video, an SD card slot, and access to Google Play Store, Amazon Apps and Kindle books. Since they are the same set up as ours, the kids transitioned well, also we are able to buy the app one time and All 4 devices can use it. Love the smaller7 " size wish I had it instead of my 10" Xoom. I would highly recommend it.

Comments about Samsung Galaxy II 7" 8GB, WiFi:

I am a graduate student getting a masters degree in theology. I do a lot of reading (especially PDFs) and writing, and I wanted something compact that I could read my research on, take brief notes, check my email, and that I could also use to stay organized. A tablet seemed like the perfect solution. I am a Mac user when it comes to laptops, and I was thinking about getting the ipad mini, but once I had a chance to play with this device at Staples, I was sold. It did everything I needed it to do--it has a great calendar app, I can easily read PDFs, I can use Evernote to keep and organize notes and pictures. I can check my email easily with the built in wifi, and the hundreds of apps available for the android system lets me customize as needs arise. Fantastic!

Comments about Samsung Galaxy II 7" 8GB, WiFi:

I love this tablet! It's got everything I wanted in one device--email, ereader, two-way camera, video calling, music, television, movies and wonderful uses that I didn't know existed (like turning my handwriting into type inside an email)--and is wireless, which lets me go online at home and in most other places. The Galaxy 2 is perfectly sized at 7 inches, which fits right into my small purse. It's lightweight, which matters because I travel a lot. And the price was extremely reasonable. I couldn't be more satisfied. I bought a $20 leather case from [@]that has a strap and two stand-up positions, so I'm carrying my tablet everywhere I go and consequently am more productive, which leaves me more time to relax and play. Honestly, I know this is effusive, but I am jazzed about it. I studied the options for about a year, and this is the only one that fit all of my needs and pocketbook. I never had time to watch YouTube features before; now I can do that while I cook dinner. Very, very cool device.

It really depends on your class requirements. This tablet offers many options including a recent, modern version of Android OS and full access to the hundreds of thousands of apps in the Google store. It's web browser is widely supported. It runs the e-book software from the biggest vendors, Amazon and Barnes & Noble. It is very versatile and has a long battery life. What I like is that it's light weight at 12oz. I think it's a great option for both K-12 students and the college bound.
