When the product was delivered and unpacked it appeared to have been refurbished/returned because of scratches and other marks on the face of the printer and notations on the box. When we used it, it made loud squeaking noises and the paper would not load properly. We called Staples and they apologized and advised that we could do an even exchange at the store within 14 days. Hopefully the new one will perform better.

Received printer, absolutely no english instructions to set it up. Had to call Samsung to try and get the quickstart guide in english but it was not available only the manual that did not describe the steps to set it up. Returned product, Staples was great on returning it. Bought a Brother iinstead.

Couldn't make this machine the default printer in administrator; had to create a second user in order to allow selection as the default printer. This often requires a change in user in order to print from Excel or Quicken, but not Quickbooks or Word. The printer is excellent..but the above issue is problematic.

Does the toner contain iron oxide? It is important to me that it does.

  No. According to the Material Safety Data Sheet for the replacement toner cartridge, there is no iron oxide. The primary ingredient is polyester, followed by carbon black, wax, amorphous silica, and organic pigment.
