This product meets my expectations for a first class and easy to use addition to my daily work needs. In my busy day, I am often doing several task at my desk, but yet I am able to glance at my monitor and see easily the charts and information that I work with daily.With this product, the Samsung reputation is certainly positioning itself along any of the products on the market today.

My surprise came as soon as I opened the box and began the process of assembly. My monitor was so easy to assemble and it all came together with a few quick fittings to the appropriate and easily recongnnizable joint points. I would recommend this product to both my family and business associates.

I've used dozens of external monitors from a variety of manufacturers and this is the first time I've tried Samsung. I presumed that, given their stellar reputation with LCD/LED TVs, this would be a great monitor. Unfortunately, it is anything but.

The default setting is way too bright and everything on screen appears washed out. I spent a half-hour fiddling with the brightness, contrast, and color controls to remedy the situation but there is no setting that cures what is obviously a substandard screen. I showed my client how good the display looked on her laptop screen and then how awful it looked when I hooked it to this monitor. The issue is not the low price point as many $100-level monitors display just fine. The issue is with this model. I'd understand the exceptionally poor display if this were a cheap, no-name brand but it's puzzling that Samsung, a global leader in the production of flatscreen displays - could have produced something this bad.

The setting controls are touch-sensitive and located on the lower-right edge of the monitor bezel. That's right where you'll typically touch to move or adjust the monitor (so you'll be accidentally turning it off a lot). So, in addition to a terrible screen, this monitor has poorly design controls.

Do not buy this monitor at any price and for any reason.

Install Disc would not fully download. Went to site as recommended and that would not open to the point that I could download. Picture quality is Fair to Average at best. VERY dissapointed esp. for a Samsung product.

Just isn't enough things to say about a monitor. It either works or it doesn't. This one works fine. Sorry, there isn't a WOW factor. it was cheap and thats a good thing. I really can't come up with 400 characters worth of things to day. It's a monitor for god sake.

I'm glad I selected this model. I like the base as it gives me more space on my desk to maneuver my mouse. It did freeze a couple of times early on but otherwise has worked well. Next time I will purchase the next size up. I had a 19 inch originally. I wish there were a way to have the monitor shut off automatically when I turn off my computer. I will talk to the guy at Staples where I purchased it to make sure it doesn't already have that capability. The price was right as well. My friend set it up for me and it didn't take long.
