      I really am happy with my decision to purchase this all in one printer. I enjoyed the esay set up, the durability of it. The only issue I had was getting the fax to work. After purchasing a spliter and having the phone line run into a box then spliting the phone and fax into two ports it works perfectly now (if you run the phone line directly to the fax from the modem and have a handset hooked up through the line port on the fax machine it would not work to send or have calls come in). After fixing that issue I am very happy with my choice.

        THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO ME IS CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND SAMSUNG HAS CERTAINLY PROVIDED THAT. HAD A FEW QUESTIONS WITH INSTALLING THE PRINTER DRIVERS.. CALLED THEM.. NO RECORDED ANNOUNCEMENT, THEY ACTUALLY PICK UP THE PHONE AND WORK RIGHT HERE IN THE USA.. SOUTH CAROLINA TO BE EXACT. THEY ARE BY FAR THE NICEST CUSTOMER SUPPORT PEOPLE I HAVE EVER SPOKEN WITH, EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO HELP. HAVE HAD MANY PRINTER/FAX MACHINES IN THE PAST AND NEVER HAVE HAD THIS TYPE OF CUSTOMER SUPPORT... OH.. AND BY THE WAY.. THE MACHINE IS GREAT TOO...

            The number of pages you print depends on a lot of factors - text-based documents require much less ink than image-based documents. The quality selected when printing also impacts the ink usage.

            You can print wirelessly from an iPhone or iPad to this printer but you'll have to connect to your network using using a standard wireless connection. This print does not support Apple's AirPrint standard.

            The Samsung SCX-4729FW is fully compatible with Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux and Samsung offers driver support for all three platforms on their website. I see no reason why it would have a problem printing PDF files. PDF files print just like any other document and in fact most of the process occurs in the software on the computer, not the printer.
