I bought this class 6 flash memory card for the speed. I use this flash memory card for weekly backup of my data. I leave this card in the computer all the time for ease of use. I use the same kind of card on another computer for backing up the data. After the data is backed up I switch the cards from the two computers and copy the data to the hard disk on each computer. This gives me a backup on each computer of the other computers data. Then from one computer I backup all of the data to a DVD for a more permanent backup.

Since I was going on vacation in December, I wanted to pick up a larger SD card for my camcorder. As I was searching, I found this card on clearance, actually on a couple websites all for the same price. Figuring it was 32 gigs, the price was worth it. The reviews were iffy from some but being that it was a class 6, it should work for video camera recording. Well, I was wrong. I had purchased a 16 gigabyte HP high capacity card from Staples a few years ago for something else so figured this Sandisk would be fine. I put it in my Panasonic (HC-V500M) camcorder and it seemed to work OK but a minute into the recording (at Epcot's illuminations), it stopped. The card couldn't keep up with the camera. Luckily, I had a second HP 16 GB card from my dslr and swapped it out with this Sandisk. My camera was able to work with it OK so I decided to keep it and use the 2 other HP cards for the video recording. Maybe your model will work OK but mine wouldn't. It's possible that it will work recording less than 1080 HD so just be aware and test it out before you actually need it. I knew I had a backup in case this didn't work. Just a little disappointed with this as it didn't work out the way I thought for a class 6 card.
