I purchased one of these for a high-capacity card in my smartphone. It worked well for a few months, then abruptly and without warning it totally failed--taking all of my photos with it. (Not even the specialized software and equipment at a photo store could retrieve the images.) However, I did purchase another one for high capacity photo storage. I'll just make sure that I back-up the images a lot more frequently.

Used in cell phones. 2 of them just stopped working (1 in a few days and one after 2 weeks) and were not recognized or able to format on the phone nor USB connection. Replace with no questions (of course with receipt of purchase).
