This is an excellent storage and file transfer alternative. There are basically two issues:

1. It is too expensive.
2. The transfer rates are a bit slow.

1. It is too expensive.
2. The transfer rates are a bit slow.

Even though it is the 2.0 USB version, the time it takes to copy and paste files seems too long.

I like it for what it does - allows me to backup my most important documents, program setup files, etc., for a change to a new computer and to protect my data in the future. I also like that it is cap-less, since I'm forever losing caps to small gear like this. But it could be nicer to look at - it's pretty utilitarian.

Client has a production computer and I need a copy of his files to see what needs to be changed. Instead of burning a DVD I pop this in and copy for a few hours. Then pocket it and take it into my laboratory.

Every time I try to save something on it, it first has to format and when I load it up to transfer a file to another computer, when I plug it in, the file it isn't there and it wants to re-format itself. I have tried music and guess what, no different. This was a waste of big time money and it has little of any use for me. Boy a cheaper model and you will be better off.
