I think the memory stick works fine. It has lots of capacity and was very cheap for 64GB online over the holidays. Didn't see another thumb drive maker close to the low cost. I've been happy will all my San Disk memory sticks. The file security is mingled with the 'buy backup of your files' message and I don't want to pay for an online file backup. The instructions are also unclear as to what you may be doing or accidently signing up for when you try to engage the file security functions. I dislike this sort of advertising.

Write times seem very slow. Read times are average. Very small and lightweight, but kinda afraid I am going to break it. Has a bright light in the middle that never goes out, I could do without that feature for sure. Price was right at the time, but if I had known the slow writes, I might have bought a different drive.

I returned this because there is a light beneath the big red slide that fades in and fades out and fades in, etc. CONSTANTLY when plugged-in. Stupid and, did I say, annoying!!

It works great. When I buy a thumb drive I usually format them to make sure they are clean and free from spyware. Since I only put work and study materials on it, it will take me long time to fill it up.
One con - you can't put a key ring through it and use it as a key chain ( the loop is too small)
