I would recommend this cabinet.

This is my first time buying any furniture online. I selected Staples because it has good reputation and I've been buying stationary supplies through staples. After I searched for the file cabinet, I read other people's review about the product prior to placing my online order. [...] 2- spaciousIf you live in an apartment and need that extra space for storage. This is definitely a great cabinet to own. It's made of steel and very stable. Of course, you should always put the heavy items on the very bottom as a rule of thumb. Additionally,it holds a lot of stuff on each shelf. There are also clips on the four corners ends of each shelf so it won't wobbling.3- Easy to install the locker. The metal rod should be installed on the right hand side of the cabinet door. My 16 years old son did it by following the map that came with the instruction. Actually, all you need is a screw driver and each hole was pre-measured precisely by the manufacturer.4-The entire cabinet was well wrapped and I didn't find any damages to the cabinet at all.Two things that didn't work well are:1-It's putty color (grey). It doesn't match with the rest of my household furniture. I wish it can be a little diversified such as in Dove color or linen white. I had to hide mine behind the bedroom door so it won't be so noticeable.[...] It's not so clear as to which is the front or back of the file cabinet. I wish there's a short sign indicating (Front or Back)Overall, I'm very satisfied with this cabinet and I would strongly recommend it to anyone who's looking for extra storage in the apartment.

screw holding door handle broke within two weeks on one unit; on another the plastic sleaves aligning the locking mechanism keep falling off and the door doesn't even shut properly

Purpose of cabinet is to have lockable storage in our office. I've seen similar cabinets other places and knew what I wanted. Upon getting the cabinet it took two of us to figure out how to install the locking rod and handle. Better/BIGGER pictures and more descriptive wording on the directions would have been helpful. The handles have a cheap light feel/look to them which is probably what they are suppose to be but something I noticed right away. The key for the lock feels very sharp like it needs to be buffed/smoothed a bit. It is very rough getting the key in/out which sometimes I think it's not work locking but I think that could be fixed with a little grafite or oil in the lock which I have not tried yet. The shelves appear to hold a lot of weight and gets things out of sight.It does the job.

The unit is good and nice looking for the room. Assembly instructions for the door knobs and locking system are not that accurate. I noticed that it will be easy to place everything in position first and then put the screws finally.

This cabinet is our 2nd one. The price had gone up nearly 40% in a year, so I refused to buy it until it went on sale, which took 6 months. The cabinet has sturdy adjustable shelves and a locking handle. The assembly instructions are rather unclear, but it is not hard to manage.

  About 50 pounds.
  The best way to move the cabinet is if you have wooden floor, please don't remove the cupboard on the bottom of the cabinet, thus it moves smoothly to any location you wish.
  
  If you have carpet in the room, it's best to empty out the space and then request the delivery man to put it in that specific location for you.
