We use this in our house and is actually the 4th cabinet of this type that we have bought. For the money, this unit provides ample storage space. We store a little bit of everything in it. Comes pre-assembled and is very sturdy.

The only bad thing I would say about it is that the handles and locking mechanism are not that great. The handles and locking mechanism are a little clunky. It does not allow you to shut the door good and tight like the previous cabinets we bought. The doors shut, but have a bit of play to them. Everytime I buy one of these they always seem to change the way the handles and locking mechanism work. This one is not real good. It probably wouldn't take much to bust into it, but we have no need to lock it anyway. Don't get me wrong, the handles work adequate enough just don't expect high quality. I wouldn't let that stop anyone from buying this, it's really sort of minor for what I use the cabinet for. Despite this one thing, I still give it 5 stars , because it's perfect for what we need and use it for.

This is a good cabinet for any storage room you have or even for the garage. I actually have one of these in my garage

All in all, this is a great funtional cabinet.

Go with something else

If you're looking for something durable you should skip this cabinet. [...]. Even when the pieces were banged back into place the assembly process was one of the most frustrating projects I've taken on. I had to chisel the tabs open because they had all been painted shut and the metal was so flimsy that the cabinet collapsed under its own weight when I stood it upright. Eventually I gave up on the instructions and assembled the entire cabinet on the ground before standing it up and even then some of the tabs that secure the back popped out of place so the back panel could easily be ripped open. In the end it took over two hours to "assemble" the cabinet; not exactly the Quick-Assembly design the instructions promised.

Service and delivery comments:

It took over a month and several phone calls to finally get the shipment delivered. The package had obviously been either dropped, thrown, beaten with a hammer or punted during the delivery process (perhaps all four) and after working out all his aggression on my delivery the driver still complained under his breath when I asked him to move the box down a hallway to the room it would be used in (30 yards).

We use one cabinet for office supplies and another for office cleaning and kitchen supplies. We were quite surprised to receive only one key. This just doesn't cut it for use in an office area. These cabinets are not very secure, anyone can pull on the door handle hard enough and break it open. Although it serves its purpose I would not recommend this cabinet.

Using it to store recreational equipment (Wii, Bingo)in a retirement complex. The base is not heavy enough to prevent warping on a mildly uneven floor. We've had some complaints that the appearance is too plain - I guess some would rather have had a wooden cabinet (or one that looked wooden). Key (one!) was very stiff until lock was lubricated (graphite) - expect to do it. On assembly one screw difficult to insert (use grease on screwdriver).

I use this to put clothes...kind of unorthodox use. But, it works great. Since I have small apt, fits all my clothes as well as my family members. I increased space in my apt as well after getting this thing.
