My wife and I were looking for a small stylish and funtional equipment rack to put beside our fireplace when we moved our TV above the fireplace. The rack is just a tad wider than our space but for the price it works perfect. I only have one negative thing to say about the rack and that is the bar that runs along the back is in the way if you are trying to fit a standard size audio receiver or amplifier. The speaker connection terminals hit the bar causing the equipment to not quite fit. I put my receiver on the bottom shelf and just removed the bar in the back, fits perfect this way and still seems pretty stable with the other 2 bars in place.

I needed a shelf unit to store computer items and knicknacks. I had a wood one, but the wood one had a back to it, and the unit needed to sit in front of an important wall outlet. To reach the outlet, I had to move all the things off all the shelves, then pick up the heavy bookcase and get it out of a corner.

This is SO much better. No back means all I need to do to gain access to the wall outlet is move a few things on one shelf around. The unit looks 100% more attractive than a cheap white 3-shelf bookcase.

While not as easy to assemble for me as the salesman said, I nevertheless managed to do it, solo. I simply LOVE the unit.

I bought two of these stands for computer and audio equipment. They were very easy to put together, and look great! I shopped these stands online and STAPLES price was by far the best![...]The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is that the crossbar in the back of the stand is in the way of your power cords and usb cords...but, I would still absolutely recommend these stands to a friend!!
