I had been looking for a low bookcase to put in my 2-year-old son's room. I wanted it to be of nice quality since his bedroom furniture is very nice. I though the color of this bookcase would match nicely, and it does. I also like that it is only two shelves, because I wanted something low to the ground in case he ever climbed on it. The only thing that I don't like is that the back of the bookcase is just thick cardboard covered with paper that looks like wood grain. I would prefer a real backing made of the same wood as the rest of the pieces, because sometimes books can push against the cardboard back causing the small nails to pull apart from the frame.

Didn't match previous purchases!

We have bought these Sauder bookcases before and liked them. We decided to get one more. After it was assembled, we realized that its structure and dimensions did not exactly match the ones bought earlier, so that when placed side by side it was obvious that they were different. We were also disappointed that the classic cherry finish was not available in the two-shelf version, although the planked cherry is similar enough.We were very disappointed in the lack of a structural match and that will keep us from purchasing more of them.

I have many of these in 2 and 3 shelf models in my office. They are so sturdy and attractive. I would recommend this product for home or office use.

This product is great! I never knew [...] would carry such high quality material! My family has owned this for a long time now and never once has it cracked under weight like my other bookcase. It's great in any room of the house. Holds well through cold air conditions.
