I am using the bookcase to store a large collection of genealogy materials in three ring binders. Before this I had them in bins and they were hard to access. The shelves are large enough to display Heavy Duty three-ring binders without wasting a shelf. It took about a half hour to assemble and it really looks like a piece of furniture. I highly recommend it.

I use it for books and storage in my home office. It is exactly as pictured and described. I purchased this on sale, great value at half off. I would not pay full price. The bottom piece does not fit flush to the bookcase leaving a small but noticable gap.

Looks nice and was relatively simple to assemble. Seems pretty sturdy, but something other than a heavy cardboard back would've been better. Apparently 36 inch-wide, 3-shelf bookshelves are not as common as I thought, until you "step up" to around $100. And fewer still that have 1" thick shelves and sides. I like that this one's not too tall either, for us short folks that need to put stuff on top (as in a printer, in my case). For the price I think it's pretty good and meets my needs well. Only other complaint is that the top trim board covers over about 2" of the top shelf, so you either make the other shelves a little shorter, or you have to maneuver a 12" book/binder under it. Overall I'm pleased.

Would DEFINITELY recommend. We purchased 5 units which we linked to fill a full wall in our new library, and the end result was great. The look and quality are a great value for the money, and the bevelled edges give a custom look. The shelves are sturdy and take on weight without bowing.
Minor negatives - when assembling, discovered each unit was minus a few support pins, but this didn't compromise anything. Also, was surprised that the back of the unit is a faux wood vinyl or paper-like material, rather than solid wood. Just need to be cautious that you don't tear or poke a hole through it when assembling.
We're really pleased to finally have all our stored books out to enjoy, beautifully and solidly displayed.

I have 3 of these end-to-end. Thanks to no molding/trim on the sides they fit flush against each other and thanks to consistent quality they look like one long bookcase ... no offsets at the "joints". The twistlock assembly make for a very solid unit that handles the rated loads well. Made in USA with outstanding assembly instructions.

I bought 2 bookcases. I am very pleased with the construction and they were very easy to put together. The wood grain and color is natural looking. There were a few scratches on the wood, but I was able to cover them. I would purchase these again.
