Sauder Roanoke Student Desk

Nice desk, lots of room, looks like an expensive desk. Took a while to put together as it has a lot of pieces, but the quality in the end is great. Have had in for about 7 months now and it is still great. Oh and they also include a furniture marker for when it gets a scratch, which is great because I have 2 kids and it has been needed. It matches perfectly. Nice little touch.

I purchased this desk when I bought my new computer. It is very a beautiful addition to our computer room. I recommend taking your time in assembling the desk. I am a woman and I assembled it entirely by myself. I would estimate it took 4-5 hours. The first thing I did was put all of the screws and small pieces in baggies marked with their letters. If you take your time, the directions are perfect. The only change I made was the hutch back piece (carboard like). I cut it only to cover the top shelf and left the back open. It looks better this way. There is a little rubbing on the drawers but overall I am very pleased with this desk. It really is very nice looking. I would recommend purchasing the desk.

I bought this desk and hutch for my home office and was pleased with the beautiful cherry finish. I saw Sauder's other "Planked Cherry" finish in the store and this "Classic Cherry" finish is much more realistic and classy-looking, in my opinion. It comes with a touch-up marker for any scratches/dings/unfinished edges and is truly INVALUABLE. The only issue I had was with the top drawer...something's off with where the drawer slides went in (the holes were pre-drilled) and it scratches up against the top of the desk when I try to close it. My husband, a professional handyman, couldn't make it line up. BIG negative there, but otherwise, it's a gorgeous desk for the money. FYI: This desk matches with Sauder's "Traditional Bookcase" perfectly.

Great product. Easy instructions to read and understand. Take your time reading the instructions and the product will assemble with ease. 2 people is nice to assemble product. Had a sauder desk before and will buy again again from sauder.
