I got the dark wood version of this desk at a steal price when it was one sale and couldn't pass it up. When I got home, the assembly took a REALLY long time, but it wasn't the instructions I had a problem with as much as it was the individual pieces (which were A LOT). I'm happy to say that the end result was a beautiful sturdy wide open desk that I absolutely adore.

If you are experienced like I am with assembling items that I've brought for my home (book cases, drawers, nightstands, etc) you will probably take several hours to assemble but it will be very hard for someone who is new to assembling stands. Have a friend who is experienced to come over to help you put this desk together, or if available in your area, pay someone else to assemble it. Either way, its worth the price.

this was one of the most difficult desks to put together... the instructions were not right... the holes did not match up... I finally had to go to the store and look at the desk that was assembled... You need lots of patience to put this one together... would not purchase this one again... and I would definitely check the instructions before purchasing...

It's a great desk, and very well constructed, but be prepared for some serious time putting it together. Lots of pieces, some small. But the drawers and keyboard tray are smooth and secure, and the desk is very attractive. Overall a good purchase, well worth the money.
