When using this thing you have to slide a button backward about an inch and then pull the tape dispenser back while tilting the nose downward to cut the tape. The bad thing is when you are holding the button backward and then proceed to pull the tape dispenser back and downward - almost every single time all it does is pull more tape out without cutting it. This is a horrible waste of tape. The item does not come close to working well.

The other problem: Even if it didn't have the main issue as stated above, the second problem is just as bad, if not worse. To apply tape to something you have to press the nose of the dispenser on the area you want the tape to start sticking to, duh, well if you can manage to get the dispenser to cut the tape at all it will leave too little outside the dispenser to catch onto whatever it is you're trying to tape. When this happens (every time) you have to open the dispenser to pull enough out for the product to work properly (or improperly in this case).

I cannot believe these issues have been overlooked. This is an actual name brand item that is sitting on the shelves of our stores. Please avoid this piece of junk. There are better products out there. It would be much easier just to use regular tape anyway, plus you get to avoid all the frustration of dealing with such a terribly conceived idea.

Not worth the cost/time or effort unless your intent is to support the tape manufacturer

Such a worthless product. I think I'll send one to my ex-husband for his birthday.

Waste of money. Easier to use a plain old tape dispenser. Would definitely not recommend this to anyone. Will probably use it till the tape runs out and then throw the darn thing away.
