Great addition for people who have a laptop & desktop that need to be kept in sync. I use this for the desktop plug it in the back and don't worry it is there to set my drive in. I use the cord that came with it with my laptop.

Doing it this way all my files are backed up twice: once on the seagate and once on the laptop.

No more getting on the road and my laptop not having the last version of a file I was working on it is there. When I used the cord ans shared with two pc's I had to think about it. With this I just park my portable drive in and set for regular syncs and I am always ready to go...No more did I do it or not?

External drive easy to install and use, but 2-USB requirement when used with docking station discourages use. So I tend to attach the drive directly, and the docking station sits in a drawer.
